PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reuse a core member by simply separating a film roll from the core member wound together tightly. SOLUTION: This core device for the film roll includes a cylindrical member divided into a plurality of segments 13 disposed along the circumferential direction. Each segment 13 extends along the axial direction of the cylindrical member and is provided with a partial circumferential face forming a part of the outer circumference of the cylindrical member. Each segment 13 is set movable between a radial outward position (figure 3 (I)) where the partial circumferential face engages with the internal circumference of the film roll to support the film roll, and a radial inward position (figure 3 (II)) where the partial circumferential face is in a state separated from the internal circumferential face of the film roll in the radial direction inward.
