PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a face-of-slope greening protective material capable of decreasing the production cost thereof, reusing waste wood through admixing charcoal chips thereinto, improving water permeability of face-of-slope soil owing to charcoal fine pores to prevent from root rot, and also maintaining appropriate water-holding ability, fertilizer-holding ability, and moisture-holding ability. SOLUTION: This face-of-slope greening protective material is obtained by formulating artificial soil A admixed with charcoal chips T made by crushing charcoal, a fertilizer B, seeds C, a binder D and pyroligneous acid E.
