PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce soluble organic matters and manganese, in a process for producing city water or industrial use water from river water, lake and marsh water and underground water. SOLUTION: After the soluble organic matters in water are flocculated and separated by using an iron flocculant, soluble manganese is oxidized by using UV rays and produced manganese dioxide is removed by filtering or membrane separation. |
