PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a automatic safely opening and closing device for a feed cap for a garbage disposer, which is provided with a structure capable of safely feeding the garbage while continuing the rotation of a stirring blade regardless of the opening or closing the feed cap or a fall-down port. SOLUTION: An opening part is disposed on the obliquely upper part of a drum of a disposal vessel and the fall-down port is usually closed. When the drum of the disposal vessel is started to turned at 45 deg. in a fixed period and the drum opening part is moved to the upper side, the fall-down port is opened for a fixed time. During a usual time, when the fall-down port is closed, the locking of the feed cap is released and the garbage enables to be fed any time. The fed garbage retains temporarily in a feed hopper and when the fall- sown port is opened, the garbage falls down automatically to the disposal vessel. At this time, a safety structure by the locking means is provided on the feed cap.
