PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve inserting operability of a guide wire 1 by giving proper hardness without making the body 3 excessively soft while being kept pliable at a joint 7 so that a force pressing the guide wire 1 for the catheter is sufficiently transmitted to the joint 7 from the side of the body 3. SOLUTION: The guide wire 1 for the catheter formed out of the same material comprises a part having a transformation point and parts 3 and 5 having no transformation point.
