EPOXIDIZING CATALYST COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING EPOXY COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxidizing catalyst composition excellent in the forming selectivity of an epoxy compound, capable of being recovered and reutilized after use and capable of being used in the production of the epoxy compound from various olefins, and to provide a method for manufacturing the epoxy compound using the catalyst composition. SOLUTION: The epoxidizing catalyst composition consists of (A) heteropolyacids of tungsten and (B) Mg(OH)2. The epoxy compound is manufactured from olefins using this catalyst composition and hydrogen peroxide.
