PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the conventional defects of an aqueous ink excellent in handleability, odor, and safeness, i.e., to enhance the recording density to thereby improve the record image quality and simultaneously eliminate staining just after printing by improving the permeation of the ink into a photographic paper. SOLUTION: An ink composition for ink jet contains a dye dispersion prepared by dispersing an oil-soluble dye dissolved in a high-boiling-point organic solvent in an aqueous medium and is characterized in that the difference in absorption maximum wavelength between a water-soluble dye and an oil-soluble dye is 0-20 nm. |
