PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance welding machine by which the welding quality is not fluctuated even when the air pressure is changed, and the time required for onece welding is shortened. SOLUTION: The preset air pressure Pap is detected by a pressure switch 11, and the conduction is started when the pressure switch is in ON-state. Conduction is reliably performed at the time when the pressure of electrodes 1 and 2 reaches the preset pressure Pip, and thus, the pressure of the electrodes 1 and 2 during the welding conduction can be set to be substantially constant. In addition, the target air pressure Pat is controlled to be the upper limit air pressure Pau higher than the preset air pressure Pap, and the pressure of the electrodes 1 and 2 rapidly reaches the preset pressure Pip, and the time required for welding works W1 and W2 can be shortened.
