METHOD FOR FORMING BENT HOLE IN LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a bent hole, by which a bent hole having a fine diameter is easily formed by using a high powered laser beam. SOLUTION: Such a waveguide as an optical fiber whose end part is bent is used for forming a bent hole. Such an electromagnetic wave as a laser beam emitted from such an electromagnetic wave supply device as a laser oscillator is introduced into the electromagnetic wave guide whose end part is bent, and a work is irradiated with the electromagnetic wave emitted from the end part of the electromagnetic waveguide, thus the hole is made in a state that the bent part of the electromagnetic waveguide reaches the depth where the electromagnetic waveguide is immersed into the work. The machining is performed in pure water for protecting the end of the optical fiber from chips of the evaporated part of the work, or in a liquid which has an etching function for suppressing the generation of waste.
