PURPOSE: A level shifter is provided to have sufficient amplitude converting capabilities even when the voltage amplitude of an input signal is small corresponding to the low driving voltage integration of a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A level shifter includes a current mirror circuit(150), a differential circuit(160) used for the converting part of the voltage amplitude of a signal, a first current source(107) for supplying a current to the differential circuit(160) and a first and a second source followers(170,180). The potential difference of signals inputted through n-channel TFTs(105,106) to the differential circuit(160) is amplitude and output so that even when the voltage amplitude of an input signal is small, normal voltage amplitude conversion is performed without being affected by the influence of the threshold of the transistor. The first input signal is inputted through the first current source follower(170) to the differential circuit(160) and the second input signal is inputted through the second current source follower(180) to the differential circuit(160).
