The invention relates to a corrosion-proofed sheet steel and a possible method for production thereof, in particular in a continuous process. According to the invention, local concentrated deposits (1) of metals or alloys of said metals with an inhibiting effect on the speed of corrosion of the zinc or zinc alloy coating are produced in the zinc or zinc alloy coating on the corrosion-proofed steel sheet, whereby local melts occur, by means of a deliberate local formation of a multi-phase alloy with lower melting point than that of the unaffected zinc or zinc alloy coating. The deposits (1) are formed from the above after solidification thereof during the cooling of the coating.
