PURPOSE: An automatic return apparatus of a vehicle turn signal lever and a method thereof are provided to use conveniently by automatically restoring a turn signal lever in changing the steering angle little at the specific point with detecting the steering angle of the steering wheel continuously. CONSTITUTION: An automatic returning device of a turn signal lever(2) is composed of a restoring unit(3) having an electromagnet(3') with a magnetic substance(3b) facing to a magnetic substance(3a) fixed in the end of a rod(2a) of the turn signal lever; a controller operating the electromagnet of the restoring unit, and inputting the operating signal of the turn signal lever; and a rotation detecting unit(4) detecting the steering angle of a steering wheel(1) continuously. The automatic returning device is installed in the turn signal lever placed in the lower part of the steering wheel. The reference steering angle is detected with sensing operation of the turn signal lever and the operating angle of the steering wheel. The restoring unit is operated with comparing the operating steering angle with the reference steering angle. The turn signal lever is returned with detecting the steering angle continuously.
