The invention relates to an aromatizing pre-mixture to be included as additive in a compound feed for slaughter animals, more particularly female animals, during a period prior to giving birth and during lactation. The feed with said additive is also fed to newly born animals and contains mostly liposoluble components. The invention further relates to a method for increasing the productivity of slaughter animals, wherein the pregnant animal is fed the aromatizing pre-mixture during a period prior to giving birth and during lactation and the newly born animal is fed an identical or practically identical aromatizing pre-mixture during weaning and fattening. |
