The inventive spark plug comprises a ground external electrode (1) which is used as a body. A central electrode (2) provided with an insulator (3) is arranged in the cavity of the external electrod (1) along the longitudinal axis thereof. The insulator (3) can be embodied, for example in the form of a flattened cone. The central electrode (2) has a part (4) which projects above the insulator (3). A side surface (5) of the part (4) and the inside (6) of the external electrod (1) which is oriented theretowards are embodied in the form of flattened cones diminishing towards the output of the cavity of the external electrode (1) and having an equidistant surfaces (11 and 12). A spark gap (7) is formed between said surfaces. The central electrode (2) is arranged inside the external electrod (1) in such a way that the end surface (8) of the projected part (4) thereof lies on a common plane with an end surface (9) of the external electrode (1). According to said arrangement of the electrodes (1 and 2), the spark gap (7) has an annular shape and is gradually transformed into an injector chamber (10) which has a conic shape and is defined by a side surface (11) of the insulator (3) and the inside (12) the electrode (1), said surface being oriented towards the ejector chamber (10). |
