Cosmetic and/or personal care compositions are provided which comprise a coupling agent, one or more compounds capable of forming an amide bond as a result of a reaction involving the coupling agent and a cosmetically acceptable diluent and/or carrier. Compounds which may be used in the compositions include amino acids and coupling agents which may be used for the formation of the amide bond include carbodiimides. The compositions may be packaged in two-part form, with the coupling agent and the one or more compounds capable of forming the amide bond kept separate from each other, and are used for the treatment of hair to improve its body. |
