<p>PURPOSE: A laminate including a metal layer, a binding layer and a polymer layer is provided, and a method for manufacturing a metal surface decorative laminate by first assembling a laminate lay-up composed of a metal layer, a binding layer and a polymer layer and heating and pressing the laminate lay-up is provided. CONSTITUTION: The laminate comprises a metal layer; a binding layer; and a polymer layer, wherein the binding layer is composed of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer, the polymer layer is a resin impregnated layer or a phenolic resin impregnated layer, the metal layer is chosen from the group consisting of copper, brass, bronze, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and anodized aluminum. The method for manufacturing a metal surface decorative laminate comprises the steps of assembling a laminate lay-up composed of a metal layer, a binding layer and a polymer layer; and heating and pressing the laminate lay-up, wherein the binding layer is composed of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer, the polymer layer is a resin impregnated layer or a phenolic resin impregnated layer, and the metal layer is chosen from the group consisting of copper, brass, bronze, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and anodized aluminum.</p> |
