PURPOSE: A secret information input method and an apparatus thereof are provided, which can prevent information outflow due to the third party when a user inputs his own secret information through an input apparatus like a keyboard. CONSTITUTION: The secret information input method using an information processing system including a detection unit to detect an event and a display unit includes a text value display step of displaying more than two distinguishable text values on the display unit, and a step of converting more than one text value of the above text values in response to the first event detected by the detection unit, and a step of recording information regarding to the text value in response to the second event detected by the detection unit. Before the text value display step, the method further includes a step of setting more than two distinguishable text regions on the display unit, and each of more than two text values is displayed on each text region.
