The present invention relates to a process for producing cupric carbonate from waste liquid of PCB corrosion. Waste liquid of PCB corrosion containing cupric chloride is being produced in a great quantity due to the industrial development. It is economical advantages that waste liquid of PCB corrosion is recycled to products such as cupric sulfate which is produced by an addition of sulfic acid and cupric oxide which is produced by an addition of sodium hydroxide because waste liquid of PCB corrosion contains usually copper of 10 to 12% and HCl of 10 to 15%. Accordingly, the present invention provides a process for producing cupric carbonate from waste liquid of PCB corrosion which comprises adding cupric oxide to waste liquid of PCB corrosion containing cupric chloride to remove free HCl, adding a neutrilizing agent such as sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate thereto to neutralize to a pH of 8-9, circulating forcedly the obtained liquid by pumps, and injecting carbonic acid gas under a pressure of 7 kg/cm<2>. |
