<p>A polymeric film structure exhibiting improved barrier properties and which is formed in the absence of a primer. The film structure is produced by coating a surface of a polymeric substrate with a solution of a polyvinyl alcohol-vinyl amine copolymer, an aldehyde-containing crosslinking agent and a crosslinking promoting acid catalyst. The polymer substrate is made out of polyolefin materials such as polypropylene.</p> |
