PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the release of air in a process wherein the air in a ball- point pen refill is released, and improve the writing property in the initial stage by a method wherein a contact part which comes into contact with a holding part of a coil spring, is formed in a manner to generate a gap between the contact part and the holding part. SOLUTION: For a coil spring 8, the rear part is formed into an end coil, and at the same time, the rear end part 8a is formed into an approx. triangular shape. By forming the rear side of the coil spring 8 into the end coil, the sitting of the coil spring 8 becomes stable when being held. Also, by forming the rear end part 8a into the approx. triangular shape, a gap which becomes a release passage for air can be provided between the contact part (rear end part 8a) of the coil spring 8 and a holding part 13. In the manufacturing process of this ball-point pen refill 1, when the refill is placed on a centrifugal machine as a process to release air accumulated in a tip 2, a tip holder 10 and an ink housing tube 14, the air accumulated in the tip 2 moves to the ink housing tube 14 through the gap which becomes the air release passage, even when the coil spring 8 is being fitted. |
