The composition includes an elastomeric polymer and a resin generating an adhesive effect and may also contain a polyolefin. The material in nonwoven sheet form may be a nonwoven web made up of fibres entrained in the molten state. The laminate can be formed by tensioning the material in elastomeric sheet form (3) and bonding at least one web capable of wrinkling (4, 5) (for example a polypropylene web bonded by a centrifugal route) or sheet material under tension (3) by the application of a pressure, the bonding being obtained by virtue of the adhesive nature of the elastomeric sheet material without application of heat with a view to softening the sheet material and/or the web(s) capable of wrinkling.
