PURPOSE: A device for cleaning a photosensitive medium of a wet electrophotographic printer is provided to remove the dregs and foreign matters remaining in a photosensitive medium in a high degree of precision. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning roller placed between a transfer roller and a neutralizer rotates in contact with the recording surface and outer face of a photosensitive belt(110). A cleaner supply unit(300) jets and spreads such a liquid cleaner as a cleaning oil on the outer face of the cleaning roller. A backup roller(400) placed in opposition of the cleaning roller prevents the displacement of the photosensitive belt due to the rotational contacting force with the cleaning roller. The backup roller rotates by biasing the photosensitive belt in a direction opposite to the action of the rotational contacting force of the cleaning roller.
