Detector comprises a body (12) having a central part (16) and two seismic masses (24a-24b) situated on either side of the central part and connected to it by articulations allowing movement about a central axis of sensitivity. Sensors for measuring the force exerted by the vibrating beams attach each mass to the central part. The assembly is such that when one beam is subjected to a traction force the other is submitted to a compression force of the same value. The cells, each comprising a beam mass and a sensor, are arranged nose to tail and symmetrically with respect to the fixation axis (20) of the central structure whose acceleration is to be measured.
