PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium and a method for manufacturing an optical information recording medium in which the recording layer is formed as crystallized or in a mixture state of the crystalline state and amorphous state in the stage of manufacturing so that the initialization is made unnecessary or easy. SOLUTION: The substrate of the optical information recording medium carried from a substrate carry-in and out chamber 3 of the device 1 for the manufacture of an optical information recording medium is held by a substrate holder 10 and successively carried to film forming chambers 3, 4 for a base protective layer, film forming chamber 5 for a recording layer, film forming chamber 6 for an over protective layer, dry etching chamber 7 and film forming chambers 8, 9 for a reflection layer by using extension and contraction arms 11 and rotary shaft 12 to form a base protective layer, recording layer and over protective layer on the substrate. In this method, after the over protective layer is once formed greater than the desired film thickness, the layer is removed by dry etching to form the layer with the final film thickness. Therefore, in the stage of film formation, the recording layer is formed as crystallized or in a mixture state of the crystalline state and amorphous state so that the initialization of the medium can be made unnecessary or easily. |
