PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve common use of an encoder for a brushless motor which can detect position of a rotor in the higher accuracy and can reduce diameter and size of the total construction of a motor and the motor of the other types, by assembling the motor and encoder which are formed separately and then coupling these motor and encoder through the rotating shafts. SOLUTION: This brushless motor is formed by assembling a disc 20 having a rotary shaft 24 for the motor body and including a plurality of recesses and projections formed at the circumferential part, and an encoder 22 provided with an optical fiber 21 forming a spherical surface at the end thereof which is fixed through the opposing part of the disc in one bearing housing to radiate the light beam to the recesses and projections on the disc and receives the light beam radiated from the circumferential part. These disc 20 and the encoder 22 are coupled through the rotary shafts thereof. |
