PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup system that seamlessly photographs a series of video. SOLUTION: A right side end of a video 10 photographed by a camera 101 is matched with a left side end of a video 20 photographed by a camera 201 through a computer 500A that applies panning to photographing directions of universal heads 104 and 204 respectively. Furthermore, even when motor- driven zoom lenses 100 and 200 are regulated to change photographing magnifications of the cameras 101 and 201, the computer 500A applies panning to photographing directions of the universal heads 104 and 204 to respectively change the photographing directions of the cameras 101 and 201 to directions shown in captions 50 and 60 so as to attain image pickup where the right side end of a video 11 is in matching with the left side end of a video 21.
