PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus capable of stabilizing an output level of image data. SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus 6 comprises a timing signal generator 15. A signal generator circuit 22 for a sensor of this generator 15 generates an SH signal in response to a conveying speed of a slip A and sends the signal to a line image sensor 11. A signal generator 24 for clamping unloaded feeding of the generator 15 generates a CLP2 signal within a period from outputting of the SH signal from the circuit 22 to outputting of valid image data D of the image data from an imaging unit 7, and within a period from outputting of the data D from the unit 7 to outputting of next SH signal from the circuit 22; and sends the signal to an unloaded feeding clamping circuit 19. The circuit 19 clamps a level of unloaded feeding data Da of the image data in response to the CLP2 signal.
