PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor at a low cost by proposing a low cost vibrator having good mass productivity while maintaining a torque of an output as it is. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor comprises a disc-like or polygonal elastic member, the vibrator made by connecting a piezoelectric element or an electrostrictive element to the member, and a rotor made by frictionally pressure connected to drive elements arranged at the vibrator. In this motor, the member of a constituent member of the vibrator is constituted of a disc-like drive unit 13 for forming the drive element 4a and 4b in a protruding state on an upper surface by a pressing method or the like, and the unit 13 is integrally formed with the member 12 by a method such as welding, brazing or the like. A profile size of the unit 13 is specified so as to become inside from a nodal circle position 11 of a vibrating wave. Further, a cutout 14 is provided on an outer periphery of the disc of the unit 13. |
