PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which allows a user to easily cut out an image of a size conforming to the purpose even if the user does not know about the cutting size of the image in advance. SOLUTION: When an image cutting mode is selected while an image 50 is displayed on a screen, an image cutting menu 42 indicating the various purposes for image cutting is displayed. When a purpose is selected from the image cutting menu 42, a submenu for selecting a type of machine is displayed on the screen. When a type of machine is selected from the submenu, an image cutting table is searched based on the selected purpose for image cutting and the type of machine to obtain a corresponding cutting size. Next, when a starting point of image cutting is specified, a cutting area of an image corresponding to the size retrieved from the image cutting table is displayed on the screen with the starting point placed on the upper left. Then, when an execution key is activated, an image is cut out from the image 50 in conformity with the cutting area, and then is transmitted to a cellular phone. |
