PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost by simplifying a connecting structure of a leader tape and leading piece of a tape cartridge of a single reel type provided with the leading piece at a delivery end of the leader tape and to lessen the tape resistance when a leading piece transfers together with a capturing body in a transfer route within a tape drive. SOLUTION: A connecting part 10 of the leader tape 9 is formed with a base part 31 and an inverting part 32 passed and provided with an adhesive hole 33. The inverting part 32 is wrapped and inverted to a pin 14 of the leading piece 13 and this inverting part 11 is adhered to the base part 31. Part of an adhesive S is protruded from the adhesive hole 33 to form a detent part 34. The leader tape 9 may be connected to the leading piece 13 by the adhesive treatment alone. The pin 14 and the connecting part 10 are rotatable relative to each other. The abrupt change in the posture of the leading piece 13 when the leading piece 13 transfers together with a capturing body H in the transfer route within a tape drive is absorbed by the relative rotational motion of the connecting piece 10 and the pin 14, by which the tape resistance before the leading piece 13 is loaded to a reel on a tape drive side may be lessened.
