PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor, and an image processing system and an information processing system using the same capable of effectively fitting for reading high resolution image. SOLUTION: A functional component comprises a light source 6 for irradiating light to an object PP for reading, a sensor 3 for receiving light reflected from the object PP for reading, and an imaging element 7 for imaging the reflected light on the light receiving section of the sensor 3. The component is installed and supported by a supporting body 1 in a prescribed positional relation. The supporting body 1 is formed in a hollow shape to secure positioning accuracy of the functional component in installation and rigidity. The supporting body 1 is formed in the hollow shape in a longitudinal direction. It is formed in the hollow shape on both of the flank sections and joined at the end of longitudinal direction.
