PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep constant the total capacity in a fully-charged state, which is different by temperature. SOLUTION: This charging control method is such that, after a secondary battery is charged with a constant current, the battery is charged with a constant voltage or a pulse current; and if the charging current is smaller than prescribed or if an average charging current in one pulse period is smaller than prescribed, a fully-charged state is detected. The temperature of the secondary battery is measured, and according to the measured temperature, the fully-charge detection current at which the charging is stopped is changed.
