PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot timing detection method capable of coping freely with a wide frequency offset difference. SOLUTION: This is a method of receiving complex signals composed of prescribed complex sequences and of detecting slot timing. The method comprises first step of adding up the outputs of optional N chips at a digital matched filter, second step of getting the absolute value of the added output and of obtaining an average value by averaging the absolute value through a prescribed number of slots, third step of selecting a maximum peak out of the average values and of preserving the value and position of the maximum peak, fourth step of selecting significant peaks located within a certain range separate from the position of the maximum peak before and behind it by a prescribed number of peaks, fifth step of selecting the temporally first peak out of the significant peaks and of preserving its position, and sixth step of detecting slot timing corresponding to the characteristics of the above complex sequence on the basis of the position of the first peak. |
