PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at improvement of production efficiency by simplifying an assembly work of a whole connector while enabling an insertion-coupling of the connector at low control force by a cam action. SOLUTION: The connector C1 is provided with a housing 10, a cam plate 20 fitted to the housing 10 in free rotation, and a slider 30 making a relative sliding movement against the housing 10. The sliding movement is converted into a fitting force for fitting the connector C1 with a mating connector C2 by a cam action of the cam plate 20. Further, the housing 10 is provided with a locking protrusion 14a for locking the cam plate 20 at a given rotation angle in free locking and unlocking, and it is so constructed that the slider can be mounted on the housing 10 in the locking state.
