PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element with excellent luminous efficiency which luminesces with high brightness. SOLUTION: The hydrocarbon compound is shown by formula (1-A), where; X1-X26 represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain or a side chain of an alkyl group or a cyclic alkyl group, a straight chain or a side chain of an alkoxyl group or a cyclic alkoxyl group, or an aryl group with or without substituon, which are independent from each other. The organic electroluminescent layer uses the above compound.
