The wrapping sheet (1) is of flexible plastic to produce articles. the sheet has stiffened sections (6) which oppose the natural unwrapping movement of the packaging when opened. The sheet has two or more layers of plastic (3,4) with the stiffened area formed by a separation of the layers. The stiffened area can be formed by a reinforcing strip adjacent to the access opening for the packaging.
