PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of an oil content of grease from the inside of a bearing and also provide a low price sealing construction of a spindle motor rotating at the outer ring. SOLUTION: A spindle motor comprises a bracket 1, a shaft 2 fixed to the bracket 1, a rotating rotor hub 3 arranged around the fixed shaft 2, a pair of ball bearings 4, 5 arranged in the axial direction between the fixed shaft 1 and the rotating rotor hub 3 in the constant interval, and a motor 6 arranged between the rotating rotor hub 3 and bracket 1. In this spindle motor, the ball bearings 4, 5 are respectively loaded with external seal members 7 in the counter side and its opposite side in order to seal the inside of the bearings. Moreover, each external side seal member 7 is formed of a radial direction flange 7a and an annular part 7b extending in the axial direction from the external diameter of the radial direction flange 7a, the annular part 7b is inserted with pressure and fixed at the external circumferential surface 4b of the outer ring and a sealed portion is formed between the internal diameter part of the radial direction flange 7a and an inner ring 4c.
