<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a terminal connected to a flexible flat cable(FFC) into cavities smoothly so as to be connected surely. SOLUTION: The FFC of a shape, having no extra projecting portions against the terminal, is cut in advance with a mold 10. This mold 10 consists of a lower mold 6, that is fixed in such a way that the top surface becomes horizontal and an upper mold 1 that moves up and down engaging with the lower mold 6. In the upper mold 1, the edge of the fitting cross-sectional shape of the upper surface 3b of a horizontally parallel groove 3 provided in a portion of the vertical directions of the parts engaging with the lower mold 6 functions as a cutter blade. When it moves up and down, and when the FFC is fed to the cutting position along a plane that is formed to make the lower surface 3a of the groove become flush with the upper surface 6a of the lower mold, the FFC can be fed smoothly and cut accurately, without inclination. Also, another surface 1a that becomes flush with the upper surface 6a of the lower mold is provided on the upper mold 1. When the FFC is pulled out along the surface, its smooth taking out can be made, without hooking or damaging it.</p> |
