PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase synchronizing circuit which can be easily made into integrated circuit and can be made miniaturized and highly reliable by digitizing all the circuit parts of the phase synchronizing circuit. SOLUTION: This circuit is provided with a phase comparator 1 for detecting a phase difference between a reference signal and a feedback signal and outputting a signal showing this phase difference, counter parts 11, 12 and 14 for performing counting-up or counting-down according to the phase difference form the phase comparator, a holding circuit 13 for holding the count values of the counter parts, a rate multiplier 15 for outputting the pulse train of a frequency proportional to the count values held in the holding circuit, and a frequency divider 2 for dividing the frequency of the pulse train outputted from the rate multiplier and outputting the resultant to the phase comparator as a feedback signal.
