PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast server system of high data transfer ability. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a switch having plural ports, a client connected to one of the plural ports and plural servers connected to the remaining ports. In the switch, the plural ports are grouped so as to make the ports connected to the servers respectively belong to different groups and to make the port connected to the client belong to the respective groups, and data are transmitted and received only between the ports belonging to the same group.
