PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain network maintenance equipment which displays the state of network connection apparatuses constituting a network and apparatus setting parameters and is capable of taking adequate step. SOLUTION: This network maintenance equipment is provided with a communication operating device 7, an apparatus communication control means 5 and an apparatus state display device 6. The operating device 7 forms apparatus setting data 3 containing physical wiring connection definition and apparatus attribute information of mutual network connection apparatuses (called as only apparatuses in the following) 30, and a packet containing a state information reading command in accordance with operation from a display terminal 17. The control means 5 collects information of states of the apparatuses 30 from the apparatuses 30 which receive a packet containing a state information reading command, and a packet which distributes setting parameters to the apparatuses 30, sets the setting parameters in the apparatuses 30, and contains a state information reading command. The display device 6 displays contents of state information of the apparatuses 30 together with the apparatus setting data 3. Since the state information of the apparatuses 30 are displayed together with the apparatus setting data 3 with a display means, situation can be quickly grasped.
