PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in high efficiency capable of outputting substantially all amplified laser beams. SOLUTION: A laser oscillating/amplifying apparatus comprises an isolator 20 having first and second beam splitters 21 and 22 propagating a YAG laser beam (p) output from a laser oscillator 1 to an amplifier 5 as its linear polarization remains as it is and outputting a YAG laser beam p' amplified by an amplifier 6 as its linear polarization remains as it is, on an optical axis between a laser oscillator 1 and the amplifier 6, a Faraday rotator 23 rotated at 45 deg. and aλ/2-wavelength plate 24 disposed on an optical axis between the splitters 21 and 22.
