PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight automatic dimmer function for a liquid crystal monitor that controls the lightness of a backlight of the liquid crystal monitor depending on surrounding lightness by automatically detecting the lightness around a photographer without the need for using a specific lightness sensor. SOLUTION: A photo transistor attendant on a strobe is used for lightness detection, and the automatic dimmer function is realized by controlling the lightness of the backlight of the liquid crystal monitor according to information from the photo transistor. |
