PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device which can secure constant power drooping control. SOLUTION: This is a switching power supply device 1 which is equipped with a transformer 2 having primary winding 2a and secondary winding 2b, a switching element 3 for switching the input voltage VIN with its voltage value fluctuating in specified cycles, through the primary winding 2a, a current detector 4 for detecting the current value I1 flowing in the switching element 3, and a switching control circuit for performing overcurrent control, by controlling the switching of the switching element 3 when the detected value detected by the current detector 4 is over a reference value VR1, and this is equipped with processors 6 and 7 which drops the reference value VR1 when the detected value VD is over the reference value VR1 and restores the reference value VR2 to its former value VR1 when the detected value VD is lower than the reference value VR2 after drop.
