PURPOSE: A fusing apparatus of a printer is provided to reduce the warm-up time by improving the heating performance of rollers. CONSTITUTION: A fusing apparatus(40) comprises a first roller(41) rotating while making partial contact with a photosensitive belt(14), a second roller(42) placed on the first roller, and an auxiliary preheating roller(50) rotating while making partial contact with the second roller. The first and second rollers have heaters(41a,42a) emitting radiant energy. The surface temperature of the second roller is increased by the auxiliary preheating roller. With the auxiliary preheating roller, the first roller and the second roller reach a predetermined target temperature. Thus, the warm-up time is reduced.
