PURPOSE: Developing liquid circulating system for liquid type electrophotographic printer and method for controlling the density of developing liquid using are provided to properly control the density of a developing liquid despite the reduced size of a developing liquid container. CONSTITUTION: A density sensor(411) senses the density in a developing liquid cartridge(410). If the density is less than 2wt%, the amount of the solvent in the developing liquid cartridge is reduced to increase the density. The solvent is smeared to a photosensitive medium(100) is dried by a drying unit(300). The solvent is recovered by a solvent tank(420). Then, the amount of the solvent in the developing liquid cartridge is reduced slowly. Thus, the density of a toner is increased. If the density is over 4wt%, the solvent is supplied to the developing liquid cartridge to decrease the density of the toner.
