The block for building construction has internal partitions (1-3) and profiles upper edges (5-7) to allow retention of the mortar between the blocks when superimposed. The profiles allow the blocks to interlock and prevent tilting and sliding between them. The profiles are shaped to allow passage of rebars through the mortar for connection to vertical bars passing through openings in the block.
