Buying items through electronic commerce via the Internet has achieved widespread popularity. Items can typically be purchased over the Internet with considerable less effort than through conventional means. However, delays may be encountered in transferring the data necessary to conduct business. An e-merchant's computer may be inadequate or overburdened, slowing data transfer to the point that buyers may actually abandon the partially completed purchase order. To solve these problems, a Brand Blaster (BB) method of commerce is introduced, which locates a catalog of products (905), search engine (907), and other files and programs on the user's PC, enabling the user to select products (913) without being connected over the Internet. Delays are minimized, and the shopping experience is enhanced. Additionally, new functions can be considered because previous delays inherent in e-commerce are eliminated or greatly reduced.
|
