Imidazo(1,5-a)pyrido(3,2-e)pyrazinone derivatives of formula (I) and their salts and isomers are new: A = O; R<1>-R<3> = H; 1-8C alkyl optionally mono- or polysubstituted by Q1; mono- or polyunsaturated 2-8C alkenyl or alkynyl optionally mono- or polysubstituted by Q1; 3-14C mono-, bi- or tricyclic saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated carbocyclic groups optionally mono- or polysubstituted by Q2; or 5- to 15-membered mono-, bi- or tricyclic saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated heterocyclic groups containing 1-6 heteroatoms, optionally mono- or polysubstituted by Q2; Q1 = Q2, 3-14C mono-, bi- or tricyclic saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated carbocyclic groups or 5- to 15-membered mono-, bi- or tricyclic saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated heterocyclic groups; Q2 = OH, SH, NH2, NHQ, NQ2, NHAr, N(Ar)2, N(Q)Ar, NO2, CN, COOA, 2-6C alkoxycarbonyl, 2-6C alkanoyl, halogen, OQ, OAr, SQ, SAr, OSO2Q or OSO2Ar; Q = 1-6C alkyl; Ar = 6-14C aryl.
