A content delivery server (12) licenses media content from one or more third party media content providers. The content delivery server (12), in turn, may provide such content to one or more customers (14,16). Each customer (14,16) stores one or more article templates, a preferred format for content presentation and other preferences for links to the content, such as a headline and byline format. The content delivery server (12) receives an identification of the location of each article template and transmits a code to the customer (14,16) for establishing links. The code includes JAVASCRIPT variables which point to articles on the content delivery server (12) and the article template on the customer site. Visitors of the customer site may access a desired article by selecting the corresponding link. Periodically, the articles to be displayed are updated or changed. Old articles are archived for a predetermined time by the content delivery server (12), while link variables are updated to point to the new articles. New headlines and bylines may further be presented to users (2,4,6) when line variables are updated.
